Directions
- Driving: Leaving the port, follow the signs to Mao which will take you onto the ring road RC-2 running around the south of the city of Ciutadella. Continue along this ring road, passing over 6 roundabouts until at the last roundabout you reach the ME-1 which is the main road running from Mao to Ciutadella. Take the ME-1 in the direction of Mao for approximately 20km until you reach the town of Es Mercadal in the centre of the island. Continue along the ME-1 until you have just passed the town on your left hand side, and then turn left at the roundabout with an antique steam roller following the signpost towards Fornells. Continue along this road through the village going straight over at the next roundabout. Stay on this road until the next roundabout where you should take the first exit, following the signpost to Fornells along the ME-15. Continue along the ME-15 and after approximately 5 km you will see a road on the right hand side signposted Mao, Son Parc, Na Macaret, Addaia and Arenal d'en Castell. Turn right onto this road (ME-7) and continue approximately 11 km until you arrive at the next roundabout where you will take the third exit to the left signposted Addaia, Na Macaret and Arenal d'En Castell. Stay on this road until the next roundabout, take the third exit signposted Coves Noves and Arenal d’en Castell. Continue to crossroads and turn left up the hill signposted to White Sands or blue sign Playa, follow this road around the bay of Arenal passing Restaurant Alcalde on the right, at the fork in the road continue down the hill to the right and follow this road until your reach the White Sands Beach Club reception sign located on your right hand side. - Alternate Directions: From the port of Mahon: Turn right out of the port and continue along this road to the end until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit (signposted to Fornells) and continue along this road (Me-7) for approx. 14km. You will then pass a petrol station on your right hand-side and just 2km further on you arrive at next roundabout, take the first exit right towards Addaia, Na Macaret & Arenal d’en Castell. Stay on this road until the next roundabout; take the third exit signposted Coves Noves and Arenal d’en Castell. Continue to crossroads and turn left up the hill signposted to White Sands or blue sign Playa, follow this road around the bay of Arenal passing Restaurant Alcalde, at the fork in the road continue down the hill to the right and follow this road until your reach the White Sands Beach Club reception sign located on your right hand side. From the Port of Ciutadella: There is only one exit road from the port and you should follow the signs to Mao leading you uphill.

At the next roundabout take the second exit (again signposted Ciutadella, Alaior) (Road nº: Me-14). At the next roundabout take the first exit (signposted Mao) (Road nº: Me-1) and continue to the next roundabout and take the third exit (following yellow signposts to Port, Road nº: Me-3). Continue downhill for approx. 1km to the next roundabout. Take the third exit and continue along this road for approx. 14km (Road nº: Me-7). You will then pass a petrol station on your right hand-side and, just 2km further on, you will arrive at another roundabout. Take the first exit towards Addaia, Na Macaret & Arenal d’en Castell (Road nº: Me-9). Continue along this road until the next roundabout; take the third exit signposted Coves Noves and Arenal d’en Castell (Road name: Carrer de Sa Marina). Continue to the crossroads and turn left up the hill following either a signpost stating White Sands or a blue sign marked PLAYA (Road name: Carrer Avenida de S’Arenal). Follow this road around the bay which will fork off to the right (Road name: Carrer Via Ronda) until you see the resort on the right. The journey will take you approximately 35 minutes.
